The Resident's Eye View
Hello, everyone! I’m a resident at Mission Terrace, and will probably be so for awhile. I’m going to be giving my take on what makes this place so very special, and such a good choice for rehabilitation and elder care.
I’ve had health issues for awhile now, and have been in many different hospitals and other healthcare situations. Without a doubt, Mission Terrace has been the finest place of that type that I have ever been. There really is a true “family” feeling around here; you can see it in how the staff members relate to each other and to the residents. Everyone treats me and all of my fellow residents with compassion, professionalism, warmth, and good humor. The atmosphere is one of comfort and caring.
My aim is to give my personal perspective as a resident on how this beautiful atmosphere is maintained. I’ll be doing a variety of things: reports on aspects of resident care, mini-interviews with staff members, “think pieces” about my feelings about this place and thoughts it raises in me, and other ideas I may have to give a real picture about what it’s really like here, on the inside.
I hope that you’ll read along as I take you on a virtual journey inside this wonderful place. I’m really looking forward to attempting to give all of you a sense of what it’s like here, and how special this experience truly is.
