Old Spanish Days Fiesta!
Tomorrow is the first day of one of our beloved Santa Barbara traditions....Old Spanish Days Fiesta! Founded in 1924 to celebrate Santa Barbara’s history, the area's Spanish and Mexican heritage is celebrated through pageantry, dancing, parades, and general camaraderie from July 31st - August 4th.

De La Guerra Plaza (across from City Hall). Stroll through a colorful Mexican market to feast on Spanish and Mexican-American foods, shop for crafts and souvenirs, enjoy live entertainment all day and into the evening. 11:00am-11:00pm
Mackenzie Park at the corner of State Street and Las Positas Street in the San Roque area. Come for the fun and the food, stay for the music and dancing. Check out the four distinct “neighborhoods” for all the family: the food court where you can watch daily entertainment and enjoy Fiesta foods; the Fiesta Bazaar for souvenirs; Fiesta Carnival with rides and attractions for the kids; and the Fiesta Crazy Horse Cantina with icy cold beer and margaritas as well as live entertainment in the evening to get you out on the dance floor. 11:00am–11:00pm
“The Little Fiesta” officially opens Old Spanish Days on the steps of Santa Barbara’s historic Old Mission at 8:00pm. This event features Fiesta’s traditional songs and dances: tunes of the Californios, Flamenco, Spanish classical and Mexican folklórico dances. Food is available for purchase from local vendors.
“Nights of Gaiety” is held at Santa Barbara County Courthouse Sunken Garden at 8:00pm. A splendid variety show of music, singing, fiery Flamenco from Spain, vivid Folklórico dances from many regions of Mexico.
